Develop your spiritual potential to accompany the process of transformation of women during birth and beyond. What is a Doula
The Doula is an experienced person who accompanies the woman during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period (or some of these stages) providing education and taking care of their general welfare and needs, especially emotional ones.
Throughout history pregnant women have sought support from others to assist them and their babies. Today, most women do not have that close family support, and have lost a supportive female environment during childbirth and parenting. The Doula takes on an updated role of the female companion which holds and protects the mother and the baby at the beginning of their life together. |
Join the most comprehensive and transforming Doula TrainingThe course follows the guidelines of the World Network of Doulas, and it is divided in 6 modules, with 20 didactic hours each.

Our Students say:
Since October I have been learning how to be a Doula. I have learned about many technical aspects of the profession: exercises, positions, scope of practice, comfort measures, stages of labor and many other aspects. All good information to share with women preparing for birth and to use during the process of being a Doula: prenatal meetings, the birth and postpartum visits.
Today as I reflect on all that I have learned and experienced I am inspired to write down what's most important that I have learned:
Being a Doula is about Love. It is about being present for another person. It is about being selfless, being capable of just being there alongside another woman as she brings light into the world, as she becomes a channel between heaven and earth., as she is an instrument of the divine forces that allow humanity to exist on earth.
Being a Doula is about being centered and allowing the energy of the universe to flow thru you, bringing an energy of Peace, Calm, Empowerment, Love...to be a vehicle of this energy for this woman that is being transformed into a mother. To help her discover/access this energy within her.
Being a Doula is about service It is about your hands and feet and how you are able to direct them. It’s about seeing, perceiving, and acting. It is about understanding what is needed, sometimes it is a word,, sometimes it is food and water, sometimes touch... always empathic perception and action, always presence, listening, knowing...
Being a Doula is to be in touch with your own center so you can be a firm rod of support on which a woman can lean in the most significant moment of her birth as a mother.
Being a Doula is to know about the energies surrounding birth, to assist loved ones to flow with the energy of love within them,so a a mother is born, so a father is born, so a grandmother is born, an aunt is born and so forth.
Being a Doula is Love.

Highly recommend all doulas whether new or seasoned to take this course. It is hands down the best. Ive been through Dona, Cappa, and Hypnobirthing... none of them are even close to getting what is truly helpful for you to navigate through your business, your own person and the support you have to give. Plus Maria Elena Penadés is full of a special wisdom and a love you can only get from her directly... totally worth cross trainging and a perfect place for any new doula to start!
